Fulfilling Mediterranean Expectations

Last weekend we went to the beach in Deiá on the north side of the island. It was beautiful, and fit my exact
stereotype of a Mediterranean beach: A small, rocky cove with clear, blue water.

Our host sisters, Alicia and Jessica

All that was missing were big buckets of olives, which, incidentally, are found in abundance at the weekly market in Santa Maria.

I sacrificed the quality of this picture to ensure that no one would notice that I was photographing this farmers’ market. I’m a terrible tourist.
